Browsed this and other forums for years, finally interested in chiming in I guess. Mid 30's, grew up hunting...never very successful road hunting on public land close to town. I've had to learn to get away from the roads as an adult.
The last 5 years I've gotten into elk hunting and killed a couple decent Roosie bulls over the last three seasons. I'm watching my kids get close to that hunting age and hope the time I'm putting in now to learn what I'm doing is going to lead to some committed hunting partners in the years to come.
