  1. To save repeating posts, I've added some info re: gun identification to this thread based on a tip from Teal chokes: In summary, looks like the gun was made in Turkey by Akkar, uses remington 51mm bottom thread, flush fit chokes. Markings: CLASSIC Sporting TR AK 07 Type: O/U 12ga Courtesy of Teal Chokes: TR AK means its made by Akkar in Turkey, Webley haven’t made anything since 2007, A lot of Akkar guns used Remington chokes which is the one you identified, they are approx 51mm long and have a 13/16 imperial thread https://www.teal-chokes.co.uk/product/3-bottom-thread-flush-kit/ Thanks again, all!
  2. Thanks @Win96X, Interesting stuff. I've since heard from Teal Chokes (as replacement chokes is the background for my need ot identify the gun). Teal came back to me today with: "TR AK means its made by Akkar in Turkey". A quick search on GunTrader found this: https://www.guntrader.uk/guns/shotguns/akkar/over-under/12-gauge/classic-240308112801002 Which has the same model number, brand marks etc. The seller is trade, and a gunroom I know as reputible; they know there onions. So, I'm pretty sure that these guns *are* by Akkar. I havent had to order any (yet), but Akkar are still trading and seem to have a similar (at least asthetically) gun for sale, so hopefully still do parts? https://www.akkar.com.tr/churchill-206-silver-2-364 ...Wishful thinking? Hopefully this thread helps someone else in the future! Thanks again.
  3. Thanks @TIGHTCHOKE... I went for this gin impart for the SSS proofing, given the conversations around lead. Thanks for all your help.
  4. Hi @Win96X - Did you get to the bottom of this one? I've got the same gun with multichokes and am looking for different size chokes but I'm not sure which ones are compatible. Dod your chokes have any markigns on them? Mine are blank! Thanks in advance, Rich
  5. Thanks for all the replies so far. Attached images of the gun and barrels. The bore size at the back of the choke was approx 18.5mm. I've sent to my gunsmith too, but was hoping to avoid custom made chokes - the gun only cost me £400 and was my first! Found this searching the model number in the PW forum:
  6. Hi all, Thought I sihould introduce myself - thanks for having me! I've been checking out the PW forums for a while now as I grow my newbie knowledge but find myself wanting to ask questions and hopefully one day impart my own experience to the next wave of shooters so thought I'd sign up! I grew up shooting with Dad, 12g and air. Applied for my SGC a couple of years ago and spent a year or so getting my eye back in before recently receiving my first permission. Look forward to getting involved in the forum. Thanks, Rich
  7. Hi all, Can anyone help me identify this choke? (Dimensions are rough +/- half a mil). It came out of my classic sporter O/U... which I was told was made underlicense to Webley & Scott in the far east. Hoping my drawing shows what it needs, but the notch on the left of the drawing is the key for install/removal, the hashed area is the thread towards teh back of the tube. It's a flush-fit type. No markings on the choke other than the four notches in the rim to note its an IC constriction. I'm concidering some tighter chokes but can't find any that look the same online. Thanks in advance. Rich
