Unlikely. If getting a migraine a few times a year precludes you from an FAC, nobody would have one.

A proper computerised system, that RFDs access when guns sold/bought, would massively reduce the workload of FLUs. People can be flagged for review when transactions happen, if required, otherwise, let RFDs handle the slots. What use is it having an FLU have the administrative burden of adding/removing firearms they have already given authorisation for. Pointless waste of time. For private transactions, you can go to an RFD to have them process it, or do it online (like now, but actually automated rather than just a form that requires manual processing). Won't happen though, as that sort of IT system would require an investment of £millions that they won't consider. And we all know the government's history with IT projects. Just with this, they'd make us responsible for their failures.

Saw this on another forum. Apparently the list of Project Titanium questions emailed out to an applicant. Not sure it's an issue asking partners for a general opinion. Some of the questions seem very OTT however. 1. Do you know what the applicant/certificate holder uses their weapon for? 2. Has the applicant/certificate holder had poor mental health? If so, did they seek professional help? 3. Are you aware if the applicant/certificate holder is on prescription medicine or non-prescription medications and if so what medication and what for? 4. Has the applicant/certificate holder ever mentioned suicide and if so, what have they said? 5. Has the applicant/certificate holder ever hurt an animal? (not lawful hunting i.e deer stalking) 6. Would the applicant/certificate holder ever hurt a child? 7. Does the applicant/certificate holder have a fascination with, or keen interest in criminality/criminals? 8. Does the applicant/certificate holder have an interested with weapons, including non-licensed weapons such as cross bows, knives etc? 9. Has the applicant/certificate holder obtained weapons from abroad or the UK that are not licensed? 10. Has the applicant/certificate holder ever threatened to use, or has used a weapon on you? 11. Has the applicant/certificate holder ever threatened to use, or has used a weapon on anyone else? 12. Is the applicant/certificate holder anti- police? 13. Does the applicant/certificate holder abide by rules and/or authority, or do they find it difficult? 14. Does the applicant/certificate holder ever leave weapons out, in view or clean weapons in front of you to cause fear or control over you? 15. Have you got access to the weapons and/or keys? 16. Are you aware of any previous issues with any ex-partners or family members? 17. In your relationship, do you both make equal decisions, or does the applicant/certificate holder tend to make the decisions? 18. Is there anything you feel you are not allowed or cannot do because of the applicant/certificate holder. For fear of upsetting them? 19. Would the applicant/certificate holder be more inclined to walk away from a fight/argument or start a fight/argument? 20. How much would it bother the applicant/certificate holder if they lost their shotgun/firearms license? 21. Have they ever threatened professionals against you i.e., social services taking the children? 22. If you needed to reach out to authorities/professionals, do you have a fear of not being believed by them and if so, why? 23. Have you ever been fearful of the applicant/certificate holder? 24. Do you and the applicant/certificate holder have a joint or separate bank account? 25. Do you have access to your own to money? 26. Are the weapons/hobbies prioritised over family/household expenditure? 27. Does the applicant/certificate holder have a quick temper? 28. Does the applicant/certificate holder mood affect the rest of the household? 29. Does the applicant/certificate holder behave differently around people outside the house in comparison to in the house? 30. Do you have any concerns around the applicant/certificate holder having a shotgun/firearm?
