  1. Hi, First off I would like to say that I am not related to Mick Jackson or anyone at Monckton shooting ground and am not employed by them but..... Looking around Yorkshire for new clay grounds. Went to Monckton shooting ground, it was a Tuesday morning and raining and had the place to ourselves, the place is not a club so no fees payable, works on an honesty system where you pay per cartridge fired (24p) not per clay, you just ring up to book in, fibre or plastic wad is ok, cartridges £5 for 25 (Hull Comp X). High tower, rabbit and a brilliant grouse butts. This is the second time I have been there and had the place to just my group - I would highly recommend the place. ok, no cafe or shop so if you want coffee go to a coffee shop but if you want a place to shoot....... Now can anyone tell me about Thimbleby or Warren Gill?
