  1. I was out looking for pigeons today and this afternoon i found a few. They were actually on the rape and as i watched i saw about 50 birds fly up and back down onto the rape field. There were a few more joining them and as i was watching the field from below and it was on a hill i could not get a good idea of how many were on the field.I walked up to where i had seen the pigeons lift and there must have been 500 lift from the rape.I tried to get a photo but they were well away by the time i got out the phone to take it.As i was taking the photo birds were still flying around so i might have a go at them soon. I continued my walk around and came across these two that had got into the reservoir and had drowned unable to get out.Poor creatures must have been exhausted by the time they drowned trying to get out.
