Did anyone see this programme? a few years ago some 'kids' from my sons school did a Lands End ~John O'Groats bike ride inspired by Ben Parkinson.Well after years of re-hab,following a landmine hitting his Land Rover and the subsequent loss of both legs/fractured back/hips/pelvis/multiple head fractures Ben P has gone from 'I think we should turn the machines off to kayaking 250 miles in sub zero temperatures down the Yukon river.......a staggering and humbling achievement...the charity behind this is called pilgrim bandits...they are a tiny charity for ex military with limbs missing.....If you get the chance to see this programme it is worth it,not least to hear from his amazing parents......humbled is not the word.....
