  1. Met up with Stuart at one of his perms this morning.Earlier in the week he had been for a look and there were some pigeons on the barley stubble. This morning there was nothing at all on the field but we still decided to set up as there were a few birds flying around. It was 11am when we got set up and it was a very slow start with only the odd bird coming anywhere near us.It was windy where we had set up and it was coming from our left and we had to anchor the hide poles with rope and pegs to stop the hide being blown into us.With it being slow we said if it did not pick up by 1500 we would pack in and go and have a look at some other fields for another day.But around 1430 things started to pick up and there were a better number of pigeons flying around. We shot till 1800 and had 89 on the clicker and we picked up 80 pigeons one of which was one of the lighter coloured ones that sometimes turns up.
