Out foxing last night on the last bit of wheat to be cut. Big swathes of straw. I knew a fox was lurking, but could not pick it up with my 'Guide'. Flashed the light and caught eyeshine, followed by disappearing tail twice. Thermal just could not pick it up through the straw.
So got out the N550+ doubler with the newly fitted IR torch from Dave-G on here and what quality!. Perfect, almost daytime picture. After about 30 mins, she showed herself 150yds across the swathes (eyeshine). The rest went according to plan: except the Spaniel got covered in claret making sure I'd done a good job!.
Many thanks to Dave-G for supplying a superb illuminator. I would not have been successful with the laser that was fitted previously.
