  1. I decided to cover all bases today, so into the truck went the FAC Airwolf, 20g and HMR.......couldn't find any semtex Got up to the farm for around 1pm. There were a few custers of a dozen here and there, but nothing to really get excited about. Found a rather nice plump pigeon on a telegraph pole at 60yds. The bisley mag launched through the Airwolf made short work of that I spotted a weak flightline and found some birds dribbling into a field of rape stubble. So as it was the best on offer, I threw up the hide, decoys out and the victim from the Airwolf on a flapper. The birds wouldn't commit and were a little wary as a result of being hassled for the last week I suspect. I managed to bag another and decided to take all the decoys in and just leave the two real birds out. That worked and put another17 in the bag fairly quickly. I was using my reloaded 20g cartridges and they were absolutely awesome Thanks to Sitsinhedges and Cookoff for all their help and advice getting off the ground with reloading The birds suddenly stopped coming and had reset their satnavs over the field. I packed up and went for a look. The field they were heading into was being mintilled and they were following the tractor like seagulls behind a plough By this time it was close on 5pm, so I left them to it and drove to the other side of the farm. I found a field of stubble with a handful on. Last shot of the day, out with the HMR. I picked a bird in the shorter stubble at 125yards, slipped the trigger and that made 20 for the day. So a modest bag, but shot with the air rifle, home made shot into reloaded 20g shells and a very pleasing long shot from the 452 hmr. After all the grief I had with the last cz455, this one exceeds expectations Different take on the pics and this is the lot breasted and now living in the freezer!!
