  1. Had a last day out with the ferrets and hawk for now till the Autumn rolls round again. Gareth and Pete came to do a bit of ferreting and brought the hawk as well. The day started fine and we were soon seeing a few rabbits. They were very quick though and were hole hopping from one hole to another. We did get some heavy rain at one time but it did not last too long. During the heavy rain we had time for a drink and something to eat. It was very good watching the hawk flying between the trees in the woods when rabbits bolted. The ferrets will be due a good feed today as they worked really well all day. Only had to dig for a ferret a couple of times today so not too bad really. We ended the day with 19 rabbits and some good sized ones as well. A good day out and thanks to Gareth and Pete for doing a good job ferreting.
