  1. What is it with people - they shoot pigeons and then just leave them in the hedge. Now I know they are destroying the farmers crop and that some on here will take the attitude of so what the farmers wants them gone. BUT - This guy (who has permission to shot over 3 OSR fields that are 5 miles from the main farm as he lives 100 yards from them) has just abandoned the dead pigeons in the hedge around where he was shooting for any passing walker to find, no attempt to conceal or put them out of view. The problem I have is that he and I are the only 2 allowed on these fields. There is a well used footpath that runs right through the fields. Trouble is that all of the fields have a nice grass headland around them which people think are extensions of the footpath. It's a tricky place to shoot as you need to keep an eye out for straying walkers. What are people going to think finding dead pigeons - I sure as hell don't want to loose the permission if complaints are made. I know who the guy is and I will be having words with him about his future behaviour/standards. If he doesn't want them don't shoot them or give me ring and i will take them off his hands. Whatever put them out of site. Rant over
