  1. My shooting pal rings me on Monday, says just got another permission not far from home, rape just coming up through barley stubble, was driving past and sees loads of birds put up by tractor, turns round and goes back just in time to catch Mr tractor driver(Farmer) coming out of the field. Quick introduction and asks for permission which is granted. my mate says to me we must go tomorrow (Tuesday) just so he knows we are keen. Arrive next day at 10 o clock, not much about but a brisk wind blowing, we sit in the truck for half an hour trying to to see a flightline, after a while its not looking good but we decide for the sake of telling the farmer we have been and tried we finally choose a spot and set up. By 11.30 we are set up and start to shoot a few odd birds but not much about, but at 2 o clock birds start to come on pretty strong until we pack up at 4.30 with 168 in the bag. so we finished on a high with one very happy farmer and permission to go anytime we like. Great result and luck that my pal just happened to be passing at the right moment.
