  1. Well I spending most of today sorting out my fog problems. I was out last night on a new bit, it's a perm I picked up last year but it's expanding a bit. :-) After much walking/wading/wallowing through very wet and muddy gateways and fields, stalking was no option in these conditions, I had been asked to see what the munjac population was like while out foxing, but rather difficult in these conditions. Having got to my chosen area to call, a higher vantage point, I scanned using thermal and seeing nothing but sheep and rabbits in started calling with a wham. (171 yards off sticks UD) This vixen came storming through the sheep from a far corner 300 yds off. Dodging the sheep the vixen was making good ground, that was until I started to mount the rifle on the sticks and in the process clipped off the scope caps, switching on the IR Dragon, then the Archer once on the sticks (a nice fluid movement) then sausage ! I can see B all, !!! ;-( .. lens cloth top left pocket of coat.... NO ,, YES bullets pushed it to the bottom, wipe Archer quickly to see the Fox siding off away and to the left, a short blow on the wham stopped it just long enough. Had another 3 that I fluffed up because of fogged up lenses. 1 of which i could have kissed it was that close. So today I need to sort out some anti fog stuff. A bit of spit I think, I was spitting last night I can tell you.
