  1. Hi fellas After finishing pigeon shooting yesterday (see harvest time take 2) I picked up my mate tom,and we proceeded back over to one of our main perms to lamp some rabbits on the rape stubble. We set out about 9ish one shooting one lamping we both have sticks and i have a deben tracer max handheld lamp when we are walking i have a large army bergen which has a pocket at the front for two 12v batts and obviously a big main compartment for the rabbits, you can fit 10 in there but man its heavy when youve got a gun on your shoulder to!tom was shooting first with his Daystate air ranger 40ftlb FAC we crept up to some game cover which has only been drilled a month or so and tom proceeded to shoot 4 rabbits and two hares,we don't shoot hares that often but there's a few around now so we have been asked to control them. Anyways then we swapped over and emptied the bag at the van as we were still close to it. I got out my daystate air ranger FAC 40ftlb and I switched on my IR recticle on my MTC Viper and proceeded to shoot another 7 rabbits. We stopped had a fag and hocked the 7 rabbits which I shot and left them by the edge of the field ina small bush. We swapped again and tom shot another 9 which we again had to hock and hang up.then we swapped one last time and I shot another 5 but we lost one in the rape stubble it we looked for about 10 mins but just couldn't find it,it was definitely dead, but we walked on to another rabbit and forgot where it was! On the way back to the van tom shot one more. So the grand total was 26 rabbits and 2 hares, there's only one in the picture as tom had just started gutting it before I asked him to take a pic! Not a bad night considering we only done two fields and we was walking! Didn't get into 1.30am though!
