I went out for the last roost shoot of this month hoping for a better turnout than previous Fridays.It started off promising with a few shots going off around me in other woods.It soon went quiet though and after 1730 till 1810 i only heard a couple of shots and they were from far away.Folks must have packed up early and gone for tea.With not many pigeons coming to the wood i was in i only managed 5 pigeons.I took the pigeon crops off which were full of rape before the photo as i was going to feed them to the ferrets.
