  1. Had yet another go at the rabbits tonight.Just got laid up in a different place than usual to have a go at some rabbits with the burrows among brambles. Took the 22lr for a change as i was shooting near a wood and i wanted to be as quite as possible to see what was about. I was shooting into a small valley bottom and got laid up in a hedge looking down into it. Shot five and just left them before i let the dog have a go at picking up. Shot eight in total but one managed to make it into the brambles and was not recovered. But while laid up i watched other warrens and there are still plenty of rabbits to have a go at.
  2. Went out around tea time with hmr again to see if i could keep up the pressure on the rabbits.Got laid in the grass and waited for them to appear.First one to show was the big one and it suprised me a bit as it is usually the small ones that come out first. It was riddled with fleas and most were covering the ears. Then the little ones started to appear slowly and i waited to shoot them as i wanted them away from the burrow. So ended up shooting six with only one getting blasted back down the burrow out of reach. Two had to be pulled out at arms length. Then on the way back to the van i just shot another that decided to come out to play.
