  1. Went out this evening for a few hours mainly to give the dog a run about.Took the hmr and after walking about half a mile i got down to the bottom of a barley field with set aside at the bottom. Just as i was walking through the long grass i saw something but could not make it out.I took the rifle from my shoulder and looked through the scope and it was a fox just staring straight at me.I never got chance to take a shot as it was about 80yds away and i was panting a bit from the walk and could not hold the rifle steady enough.Next time i go down i will be taking the shooting sticks with me just in case as it is the second fox i have seen in two days. Had a couple of hours on the rabbits and got eleven but not all in the photos as two were knocked back down the burrows. All of them were left for the fox to eat at two different places on the farm to save me humping them around.
