  1. Went out on Tuesday for a scout round with a view to finding a spot to shoot on Wednesday, found a couple of possibles but on the way home decided to call in on an estate i know well just for a chat with the keeper really but found that the maize strips had still not been ploughed in and there were plenty of cobs still visible and attracting pigeons, we decided to give it a go next day with my mate on one strip and me on another about half a mile away. we got there at 10 o clock with not a pigeon to be seen, i got my mate set up and i was set up by about 11.30. the sun shone and it was slow for the first hour with just a few birds coming in and paying the price, by 2 o clock birds are coming steady and by 3 its more than steady as bird after bird pitched in, by 5pm i was just mopping up the odd straggler so called it a day, the final pick up was 114 birds, my mate shot 86. so all in all a great result with exactly 200 between us.
