  1. Went this morning for another go at the pigeons. On arrival at the farm the wind was blowing in the opposite direction to what it was on Friday. There were no pigeons on the field that was shot on Friday so i had to set up on another field not too far away. There were a few pigeons on it when i got there but they flew off when they saw me.I decided to set up and got my gear and made two trips to where i had seen a few pigeons. In the distance heading for me were some nasty looking clouds.I set up the brolly and got the hide made first and then it started to rain. It rained frequently most of the morning and was very heavy at times driven by the wind. It was a bit slow in the morning due to the rain but it picked up later in the afternoon once it got brighter. I never took the brolly down as it was stopping a lot of wind. I was not in the ideal place as a lot of the the pigeons were landing on the other side of the field. It was not possible to set up on the other side because of a road and the close proximity of a couple of houses. But i do know where the pigeons like to be now and there were a good few about. Always another day to have a go at them again. The farmer knows as well as he has got a couple of gas guns on the field side ready to go out. Ended today with 25 woodpigeon,1rook and a jackdaw.
