  1. I went out last night with a mate foxing.A lot of the fields were waterlogged to say the least. As we drove down the lane 2 huge flocks of geese took flight. Must have been at least 250 in all, that had been feeding on the wheat stubbles right up until dark. Popping out now to get stocked up on the steel shot. Roll on Saturday morning. Anybody out there, near me, likes to eat a goose or two? We lamped a number of fields and there was this one sat on top of a hay bale.We drove up behind him so I could take a safe shot and " goodnight Basil." Next farm we called and squeaked for a while and saw 9 foxes in total and could not get another shot off for numerous reasons. Blocked by machinery, unsafe shots, too far etc. very frustrating but you must take the rough with the smooth. We will be back another night. Dave K
