  1. Our Golden Retriever has not long had some pups. One of the pups looks like it has entropion in one of its eyes. We are most likley not going to sell this pup but keep if ourselfs. We wont know until it is older if it will be a long term issue an may need minor surgery. My question is do I breed from the bitch again. She did have her eyes tested and we were told that she had a very very minor entropian and that it would not affect her for breeding otherwise here eyes were all clear. Looking at some vetenary web sites, some mention that it is hereditary and some say its not. If we were going to breed from her again in around a year to18 months, we would have to go through the eye test procedure again anaway. Unfortunatly where we stay in the highlands there is currently only one regestered canine eye specialist who caries out the procedure so it may prove difficult to get a second opinion. Any thoughts please. Cheers BBL
