Got myself a new cocker pup few weeks back, he is from up in N Cumbria. The dam is Centrewalk Imp, a novice trialing bitch and the sire is FTch Mallowdale Gun, so far I'm very pleased with the wee fellah. Only 11 weeks so we are not really doing much but he has developed a nice sharp sit and is a tidy retriever although he doesn't get too many don't want him bored and ********* off,we've had the odd one of these, my fault too much.
My two year old cocker should work his first season, all being well, this season. Low keys stuff walked up, being shot over hopefully flush, stop retrieve.....although the middle bit is still a work in progress with the bunnies, but we'll get there! My three year old ESS has a couple of season under her belt and never makes me look a fool, great wee bitch if a little sticky but no crime as a shooting bitch. Hoping to get her a bit of beating as a lot more game might get her to be a touch less sticky. Anyway with both adult spaniels on their way figured a good opportunity to get a wee pup in, looking forward to his progression, the breeding is there the weak link as ever....me! Fingers crossed I don't let him down.
