Been out with my new shooting mate from PW...last time we were up for a good day but were scuppered by the tractors, anyway this time we arrived at the same place but only a few birds knocking about, so we decided to go for a drive round, not much about so we parked up on a rape field that i dont normally shoot, and sat there drinking coffee, sean saw a couple of birds flitting about 4-500yds away and we thought they were fieldfares from the eastern block, didnt take much notice, decieded to get my BINOCULARS out and have a scope at them................(i should use them more often).....we couldnt see them at 400yds with the naked eye. as the rape was about 6" high..but what we saw were at least 600 pigeons at the top end of the field, as a result of using the noculars we had a CRACKING afternoon on the rape...none stop for about 3 hours.... moral of the story just because you cant see anything , it dont mean it aint there! WHATS YOUR BEST PEICE OF KIT THAT MAKES YOUR DAY........... ditchman
