  1. My mate was doing a flooring job the other day......for the daughter of a local farmer, when the job was finished she said " I don't suppose you know anyone that shoots ? " my mate said " yes, me and my mate Dan go clay shooting all the time!" So she says " Would you be interested in doing any real pigeon shooting as we have always found it hard to get anyone to shoot on our land" He said, " yes, as long as we have sole shooting rights and you don't charge us anything! " ( this was only said in a light hearted way ) She said " OK then, when can you do it ? " A quick purchase of some no.6 carts.........a bit of netting and some deeks !! And we were out there living the dream !!! What's amazing is that they have 6 farms all in my area ( can walk to 2 of them ) it's all crops, no dairy !!! Plenty of rabbits about too, and she is more than happy to let us shoot .22LR so now I have an acceptable reason for ownership.............Pest Control !!!!! instead of having to join a shooting club ( have no time for it ). Anyone else had this kind of luck ? cuz from what I hear it's not easy getting permission to shoot from landowners !!
