  1. I was out lamping a couple of weeks ago with a mate and things were pretty slow, it was wet underfoot and we covered a few miles, bit a slog but great to be out. We edged round a wood and put god knows how many pigeons up, in the torch light they seemed to hover, probably blinded and were very close in. The same happened along a few of the hedges and a second wood. Not .22 material but..... We had a chat and reckoned that you couldn't get more fun than lamping pigeons at night with a moderated shotty, has any one tried this, does it work, would a 410 be too small, bear in mind they come out really close. you wouldn't need decoys, camo netting, whirlies. It could be fun? If there is a huge flaw in this please be polite, or not LOL
