hi all this one was funny. i was stood there on the top of a hill watching this pheasant cock mooching along the hedge it was taking its time pecking about then he decided to take a left turn into cover and that was it............a few minuets later i heard him crowing then the crowing ended sharp and with a weird squeak it really did sound odd but thought nothing more 30 seconds passed i was looking in the binoculars and i bright orange vixen jumps out of cover into the field with guess what???? how to capture screen mr phez was fixes good and proper in her gob i thought it was such a funny scene one minuet he was fine crowing showing off the next he was cub food lol i made my move for my rifle got it up onto the stick and watched her clear as day messing with the bird spitting feathers out and trying to get stuck in i placed the dot on her and took the shot 178 yards of sticks 243 58g vmax no mess which surprised me as its a fast round.. the bird was still warm too lol it made my night thanks andy
