Does anyone have any simple suggestions for joining stick heads to sticks. I use both the dowel joint method and the stud bar joint method, but both take me ages to get the joint right. I have a number of sticks made and am OK at carving and straightening. I get the joints OK-ish too but takes me ages to get a good match up between the head and the shaft. I don't mind too much for my own sticks other than wanting to get it right, but a couple of mates have asked me to make sticks for them, so obviously want to be spot on if I am selling them.
