browning x bolt

I haven't got an X-Bolt (I would buy one tomorrow, if Browning made it in left-hand), but I have had several .243s of varying brands with 1:10" twist barrels. If you're confined to factory loads, I would recommend Norma, RWS and Sako. Rounds from those manufacturers seem to be assembled with a bit more care and consistency than the rubbish produced by Remington etc, and consequently they produced satisfactory groups in my rifles. The brass is also much better quality than the American stuff.

My .243s shot well with most factory ammunition in the 87-100gr range. But they shot marvellously well with homeloads. It seems an injustice for what is a fine rifle and a very fine scope, to feed it only factory rounds.
