Harnser Posted October 8, 2009 Report Share Posted October 8, 2009 If you are going to use it for deer stalking I would prefer some thing with a lower magnification than 8 times . I personally prefer 3 to 12 magnification for stalking . The lower magnification will give you a better field of view and clarity at the closer stalking ranges . You carnt have to bigger an objective lens on the front as this will give you more light through the tube in poor lighting conditions . Incidently my scope very rarely goes abve the 3 magnification .
