Could be a long answer but the best all rounder is a sporter which can be used for clays and game. A game gun is generally lghter because you are carrying it all day in the field but does suffer more from recoil in the process so not ideal for smoking clays. Never really used a dedicated skeet gun so can't comment but it would be a sporter for me every time. A lot of clubs don't like semi autos because you can't tell when it's loaded and they spew the cartridges out of the side. Hope this helps a bit.
