  1. Just for info the chap in Bracknell has lost his RFD status so won't be doing ammo but may still have components, AE Clarke is in Blackwater but has ceased trading.
  2. They told me that a shotgun they had was a Mossberg 500 but it was an 88, you can tell where the safety is, I'm afraid that told me about their experience and I never went back.
  3. Does your breakdown of prices mean you will split then as I would only be interested in the rifle. I will need to do a little homework as I was looking to get a Remmy 700.
  4. OK I may be able to help you with this as I needed to get an ammo box for my 7.62x54R russian stuff which is a rimmed case like .303 I will check when I get home but I believe MTM do them and the model is RMLD50, it holds mine with the bullet head upright.
  5. True, semi's will out perform a pump but in PSG pumps and semi's are in their own groups so in comps it should be a level playing field unless you modify the pump then it will go in the open class.
  6. I shoot PSG and prefere the reliability of a pump as the stages I do are timed, seen so many semi's jam or misfeed then you loose time.
  7. Benelli generally have the fewest parts, your best friend will be youtube, just do a search and you will find a full video on strip down and assembly.
  8. I used rice, the cheapest value stuff is fine, took a lot more than I though it would, had to go back and get some more
  9. I had a browse round both days, the only purchase for me was a range bag. Almost bought a Mosin Nagant Sniper with my 2 boys egging me on but I don't like spur of the moment purchases
  10. My son uses Hull Pro Twenty in 24g no 8 for clays, he's 12 but quite small for his age
  11. Ok this is my personal view but will not be everyones but I have gone down this route recently. If your shooting comps then I would say you need something light as between each target exposure you have to lower the rifle to 45 degrees. Believe me after a while with a heavy rifle your arm will ache. Second point is you want something that cycles reliably, my rifle is custom made with a light barrel etc, infact there are no ruger parts on it. Also keep your mags clean, theres nothing worse than a dropped shot. if you can combine weight, accuracy and reliability then your onto a winner. PS. a chap at my club had a G22 which was always jamming, no wonder he traded it in for something else.
  12. Sorry but another question, is it SGC or FAC.
  13. Sent you pm for piccys, can you also confirm if you will sell without the mod as I don't have one on my FAC.
  14. Following on from this as I'm getting a rimmy soon, do you need to have a scope with an adjustable objective.
  15. Oh god I couldn't do the cutting up bit so I guess that's me out then, think I'll stick to target shooting.
