Beardo
Just tried some of my Sweet Woodruff Vodka that i've had maturing - it's damn fine (and goes really well with apple juice). It's ever so easy to make - first find some Sweet Woodruff it grows low in woodland. when you pick it it doesn't really smell of much, but dry it out and it develops a beautiful vanilla fragrance. Pop a couple of dried sprigs in a bottle of vodka, leave it a couple of weeks and viola - the English equivalent of Bison Grass Vodka. John_R
I have a half bottle of Elderberry Vodka I made a couple years ago. I do like it but only in small amounts. I would like to try mixing it, but not sure what would work best. I might add some more sugar syrup anyway, it is only just sweet enough, and I don't generally have much of a sweet tooth so that's saying something. Beardo
i'd imagine the elderberry vodka would go well with tonic water, could also try it with ginger beer or ale.
John_R
I did put a splash in some Copella apple juice this evening, it did not work well at all! Edited November 2, 2009 by john_r
