Alanl50
Hi anybody know how to remove a scratch in the laquer on my stock brand new Lanber Hunter Ive had it since June this year took it out yesterday for thr first time, shot 2 pheasants when I got home and went to clean it I found a small scratch about 10mm long, its not through the laquer, is there a kit out there to repair or someone on here who knows what to do??? The stock has a semi-gloss finish to it. Regards Alan
Cosd
All depends how deep the scratch is. Can you feel it when you run a finger nail across the scratch? If it's really light, I would try a tiny amount of T-cut, wrap a piece of cloth over your finger and gently rub the scratch out, then do the same using a tiny amount of car polish to bring the sheen back up. Done this on an older gun and worked well for me, but please let others on here with more expertise advise you as well to see if there are other methods. Alternatively, Straightshooter on this forums does great jobs on stocks, may be worth sending him a PM.
