Stephens Muzzle Loading 10 Bore For Sale

Here for sale is a Stephens Muzzle Loading 10 Bore, S/B percussion shotgun. The gun's barrel is 30''. The wood on the gun shows nice figure and has no noticeable marks from usage. The barrel is exceptionally clean and shows a mirror like finnish inside.

 

I have shot this gun with various black powder loads and it has performed well with very little perceived recoil.

Is this an original or modern reproduction?

As far as I know it is an original. However I have no details of the company or history of the gun. There are no visible identification marks on the gun, apart from the name on the lock, and I have no idea of its age, but would expect it to be of the late 1800's I have shot this gun and can say that it preformed well, the trigger pull is crisp and light. I have used various charges of b/p and shot but have not patterned the gun to determine the best loads. If you require any more information I will try to help. Richard.
