soreshoulder
i am looking for a new shotgun either a SBS 20 bore or a 28 bore of some description. I would like a small gauge shotgun but how much would i realisticly for a second hand s/s 20 bore or a 28 bore. Would i just be better off getting a 12 bore s/s
COACH
There's nothing wrong with the 20 or the 28 they can both kill very well. You can pick up a nice second hand one for around £600/1000. Under that they tend to be a bit worn, but someone may be desperate to sell and you may pick up a bargain. The problem comes with the price of the cartridges. It`s far cheaper to shoot a 12 gauge for both cartridge prices and the guns them selves because they are common. I see by your name you may have a problem with recoil. If you buy the right cartridges you wont get any problem unless you have a very bad gun mount or a very ill fitting gun. It always pays to have a lesson or two with a good coach. They will tell you a lot more than we can on here and it will save you hundreds of pounds in the long run.
ChrisAsh
The price of catridges is worth considering, they look quite a bit more than 12 gauge
