omas
Hi guys Ive been reading thru the forums as when my dad left for America he left behind in the loft a BSA Airsporter 'S'. I remember it fondly as a child but sadly it seems to have lost a fair bit of power. I checked the serial number (GM00687) which identifies it as a 1979 build. Im reasonalby conident tht i remember it correctly as being powerfull and accurate and now as an adult id like to find a use for it but need some help in any tips for maintaining and cleaning and perhaps even any recommendations for a service. Thanks Omas (Swindon)
huey
Hi I have an early 80's model, great guns! I replaced the main spring in it recently with a no 1 OX spring, grease in the mechanical parts and oil on the metalic bits oh and replaced the piston head washer whilst I was on. I did it with a little help fraom a friend and followed the exploded diagram from Chambers Gunsmiths web site http://www.gunspares.co.uk/ They dont quite match up to modern guns for accuracy and power but are still a classic rifle. Hope this helps Huey
6br
i had one when they first came out in the late 70s they were one of the top air rifles at that time, a good service and main spring and piston head seal should bring the life back into it.
