buster321c
You ****** plumb , lol , adjust the front till its aboutr 29 yds , then zero the gun at that diatance , Put the front adjustment ( AO ) back to 25 yds . Then you will be ok from 10 yds to about 45 with a 177 , either way its should`nt be more than 1/2 inch out . Colster
AO and PX are the same thing. Rest the gun so it can't move and look at a target 25 yards away while on full mag. Now move your head around slightly without moving the gun, if you can see the target appearing to move behind the crosshairs then that is "parallax error". Adjust the front wheel until this effect stops happening, then read off the marking on the front of the scope - if you're lucky it will be on 25 when your error disappears (was more like 75 on my Hawke). It can be used as a rangefinder in a way, if you now look at a target further away on full mag the target will appear blurred, now if your parallax was reading 25 when the error stopped at a target 25 yards away you should be able turn the wheel until the target image is clear, whatever the front wheel is set to now is the distance to your target. To be honest they're not really necessary on airguns, fixed parallax scopes (ie non adjustable) are typically pre-set at either 30 or 100 yards and if you use your scope on less than full mag you probably won't get a blurred image on further targets either.
