tony armstrong Posted February 3, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 3, 2010 probably looking at 100 trees of the coniferous type may be reaching 10 ft not sure about the size of the area perhaps quarter of a football pitch at a guess. just looking at improving the cover in one of our mini drives. trying to keep some of the guns happy .will also have a cover crop running alongside it tis year. pyr8 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Share Posted February 3, 2010 if you buy bare root they are much cheaper,do you have to have conifers.whips are young bare rooted trees you buy in large amounts.hawthorns about 18in high work out about 25p each on orders over 100.you can get beach,birch.alder etc in the same size bracket.find commercial growers and if need be open an account so you can get them at trade prices, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
