tim123
I want to put in for FAC shotgun. Do i have to put down the specific amount of shot i want, ie: 5 shot, 8 shot, etc.... I want to use it mainly for pigeon shooting but may use it for rabbits and the odd clay day, is this all alright? Is there anything i have missed? Cheers Tim
stevew
Ask for multi-shot, thats what mine is on my FAC. Reason being if you ask for 5 shot, for example, then at a later stage decide you want a mag extension you may have to get a variation. My RFD put it on like that to avoid being tied down to a specific capacity, having said that there is no restrictions on rifle magazines. Mungler
Just ask for a FAC shotgun. Anything that fires more than 3 shots is a Section 1 firearm. So whether it's 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 shot or whatever it makes no difference. I have an empty slot for one on my FAC and it just says "12 bore Shotgun Quantity 1". Don't forget to ask for a condition that allows clay shooting should you want to take it out on the clays one day.

Munglers right, you should just ask for an FAC shotgun on your application, however when you actually buy one have it put on your FAC as multi-shot to keep your options open unless you aren't bothered or get one that you can't add capacity to.
