chewy0013
Hi guys, I am looking to move to .22 lr and .17hmr. I haven't really got a lot of experience with them and would like to join a club and get experience on targets before i attempt to get a licence and start to hunt. Does anyone know a good club that is looking for members in the Bristol area? Any advice would be hugely appreciated. ATB Stuart Also I'm aware this is a little premature...but would i likely be granted both of these cal's on my first license if i were hunting on pre-approved land and at my club? vole
If you can state a good reason to have both then I dont see why they would not let you have both rimfires. I said .17 HMR for long range vermin on large fields where the only cover is 100 yards from quarry and .22 for noise sensitive areas near houses. He seemed to accept that ok. Sorry cant advise on a club there but it is a good way to start.

I said near enoght the same - I wanted the .22LR with mod for "sensitive areas and lamping rabbits" and was granted both without any problems mate!
