Jaminzx7r
Was out last night with a mate doing a bit of rabbit shooting with the air rifle and lamp. As we walked by the wood on our permission we disturbed a considerable number of pigeons. Obviously swung the lamp up and spotted a few. Thing that crossed my mind was how easy it would probably be to shoot them with a shotgun as they didn't seem to move off at the usual mach2 like they do when spooked, I assume because of the darkness. Appreciate not quite as sporting as it could be but my mate remarked that he believed it was illegal/unlawful to shoot pigeons with the aid of a lamp at night. I personally have not heard of this but wondered if anyone else had?? Edited March 10, 2010 by Jaminzx7r

night owl
i posted about this a month or to back and after some research it is illegal in the uk to lamp wood pigeon but it is not in the channel islands as long as you do not use a shot gun perfectly legal with a air rifle

J@mes
Illegal unless they are on man made structures IIRC.

Clear from those that have posted here that he was correct. Edited March 10, 2010 by Jaminzx7r
