243 and/or 308

Looking for 243 and/or 308 rifle.

 

I will consider any option as really not sure what to go for. Best option would be a screw cut rifle with moderator and mounts. I already have a scope for it, but might buy a full package with scope at good price.

 

I really like Steyr Mannlicher rifles. Ultralite, half-stock Classic or older Luxus / L / SL model would be my favourite, but also a Pro Hunter / Mountain MKII synthetic stock. Any good S/H European rifle considered. It will be used for stalking so the lighter and shorter, the better. I also like a set trigger option.

 

Show me what you have.

probably not what you are looking for but i thought i would try.

 

Tikka T3 action with picatinny rail, 20" 1/9 twist border .243 barrel, T8 mod and robertson stock.

£1000 without scope and mounts.

I would try all the New mannlicher rifles before you buy ,i got rid off all mine and went back to the old luxus,i thought the new ones were a cheap plastic effort,the mags stick,before them i had the sako 75 hunters in most calibres and they were accurate well made for the money.Ask a few users of the sako 75 model.
