barrie0 Posted November 8, 2005 Report Share Posted November 8, 2005 As title does anyone have have any Beretta 18 mm recoil pad/s either the rubber or gel-tek kind such as here http://www.avalon-shop.co.uk/shop/index.ph...sort=20a&page=2 must be in very good or new condition its for a 686E so most beretta pads should fit , just trying to save a bit of cash , can pay by paypal,bank transfer or cheque . bindi Posted November 9, 2005 Report Share Posted November 9, 2005 Pm back to you. If you haven't tried a gel-tek pad I would advise you to do so before buying if you can. They are pricey and I didn't like them, but acknowledge its all down to personal taste. I like the hard wooden buttpad (ebony) as the soft pads allowed the cheekpiece too much movement past my cheekbones and I kept getting large bruises. I was about to ditch the 686e and try something else until my gunsmith suggested a solid one, which worked and I am now happy as a sand boy with the 686e.
