Hi,

I'm wondering whether anybody owns or has owned a Bettinsoli Diamond Line (sporter) and what they think of it?

I had a look at one in a gun dealers today because I'm on the look out for a new gun so i thought i would ask the experts before deciding what gun to buy.

Thanks.

Hi matey.... I'm definately no expert (not been shooting clays long) but I upgraded last year from a Baikal to a Bettinsoli diamond and I love it... feels lot different and fits me lots better... more confidence in the gun=better shooting.

Its a good gun and well made. I think it's actually made at the Berretta factory.

HTH.

I got mine new in Nov/Dec 2009 (30" 12g Diamond) and have since put over a 1000 carts through it and it has not missed a beat. The actions is slowly loosening up now as it was stiff from the box (as one would expect) but everything is still very crisp.

I find the trigger pull predictable whilst requiring just about the right amount of force. From new it comes with a nice hard case, manuals, spare longer butt pad and chokes + key. all very well made - especially for the price.

It has some nice laser engraving with gold inlays which give it the look of a much more expensive gun abd whilst some are unsure of the pierced top lever I rather like it.

I paid £720 or so I think and had the choice between two so chose the one with the nicer patterned wood, but even so the wood looks good and has some wonderful colours and patterns in it.

All in all - I'd say you cant go far wrong. There have been some bad ones make it out of the factory which invariably end up on the forum (as these things tend to attract problems by their nature!) but with a 3 year warranty you've got that peace of mind there. :good:

There are people who have had bad experiences but as I say, forums tend to attract them as people look for answers. I'd bet that for every 1 with a problem there is 100 or 1000 happy customers.

Ive had my bettinsoli diamond 2 years and use it for clays and rough shooting.Find it a good all-rounder,puts up really nice and is well balanced, remember guns are only as good as the guy pulling the trigger!
