Quiver
Decided to go and have a look at a new permission i had aquired so this morning around 7:45 picked the eldest daughter up for work with the gun and a couple of carts just incase, dropped the daughter of around 8:25 and headed for the permission and arrived shortly before 9am ,,So gun out and offf to recon the land, first impressions were good lots of crows and rooks around different stands of wood, decided to stay on the lanes around the farm and survey the place through a set of bins, lots of freshly ploughed land but at a guess mostly veggie ,spuds cabbage and the like, the permission covers around 110 acres and it looks good land for an HMR but the SX2 will have to do for now, came accross a field with around 100 woodies but to far of for any sort of shot so carried on to the bottom of a lane ,rounded a corner and had a snap shot at a rabbit but missed by a whisker lucky bunny, took around an hour or so to satisfy me that ths could an ok permission so headed back to the car, up hill in the sunshine with all the regalia on aint funny as I was leaking sweat like a burst main but managed to tag these two offenders on the way to the car but a second woodie who was going like a steam train finished up in a tree (Dead) but i could not get at it let alone see it so all in all things look good Went out today to take a few snaps of the permission as I had forgot to take some last week looks ok me thinks The bales where i stand and wait for the crows to fly over head One of the Lanes and just a few views from the gate where the bales are This gorse is about 400 yards away great 4 Rabbits Edited April 20, 2010 by Quiver
