Harnser
Had a drive around the farms today and noticed a large flock of pigeons on a young sugar beet field . The beet is only just through and is vunerable to pigeons making a meal of it . I didnt have a gun in the car as I was going to meet my good lady in the big city for lunch . I phoned my farmer friend to let him know and to tell him that I couldnt shoot today . Unfortunately he was out and I couldnt contact him . I drove round to one of the rape fields and took the banger off the field and set it up on the sugar beet . I will have a go at them on monday as it is the next oppotunity for me to get out . I have had some good days on young sugar beet in the past and hope to shoot a few . Keep on troshin , Harnser .

Alanl50
Hi I had 22 pigeons yesterday on the young beet and 4 black ones so it was not too bad, I noticed they have taken a interest in the barley as well its just on the turn here in Ipswich, they were dropping in the wheelmarks from the tractor and on the margins I spoke to the farmer and he's going to cut the margins for me and Im going to build so semi permanent hides save lugging all my gear about. (and my Hatstand barrel is still in one piece ) Alan
