andrewjames
can anyone recommend someone to service and tune my webley fx2000, it seems to be a bit inconsistant when shooting at anything over 35yards? ive tried a few popular types of pellet (diabolo exacts, diabolo aa field, rws superdome, premier magnum, flying scott webley etc) the diabolo exacts and the aa field pellets seem to give me the best grouping but still seem spread out at the longer ranges (despite them all being the domed type) should the barrel need cleaning at all? i havent ever cleaned it and i also bought the rifle second hand... andrewjames
a friend from another forum has helped me solve the issue, he suggested it so i bought myself a clean pull and gave the barrel a few goes, when no more lead deposit came out i shot some accupells 14.3g through her at 10 yards... re zerored the scope and now im finally getting some consistant accuracy on the verticle line however the horizontal just keeps fluctuating, the pattern on the target being on a straight line promtped me to believe the power isnt being consistant thus shooting some pellets high and others low. i took the stock off and dry fired her to see if there was any issues with the cylinder and low and behold the venturi hole / grub screw is leaking air every time i fire the rifle. im going to need some loctite but im not sure if this is something i want to be doing by myself. how much could i be looking at to get it fixed and possible serviced professionally? or should i just buy a crono, some loctite and tune it myself? andy.
