Golf course rabbits

Out with Daz again met at 7:45 got set up and went for a run around in the light started off slow couldn’t understand it as there were bunnies all over this course as a role… :) (We don’t shoot the same one all the time we now have 3 to manage so they get a break) but every corner we went round at first not a thing, then we could see why!!! Dog walkers enjoying the sun shine there not meant to be on the course but we just have to put up with that…

We went the other end of the course and started to see rabbits and started filling the box in no time, now Daz has never shot a fox so I was keen to get him one as we were driving around we had already seen 4 in day light so it looked good for him!

We went to a little spot I know behind the club house to look for bunnies and stood looking at us was a big dog fox!! He moved round to the left and stopped again look back at us then moved again, now like I said Daz never shot one before and was taking his time only a second to long and the fox kept moving, on the 3rd time of him stopping no extra second needed at about 35yards wack head shot and down it went 22cz done it again :good: ,and we had one happy shooter.

We went back to the cars as the box was a bit full with him in it… set of on the next run round in the dark me shooting this time and the rabbits started showing!

The course is on the coast and out to sea the mist was coming in but it looked ok on the course so carried on nice steady shooting picked up another fox! cub this time about 50 yards as I went to pick it up looked back at Daz a the mist was on us thick, I said come on lets get back!! That would have been ok but we are only just after getting this course and the way back in the mist was not the most fun to drive in!! Lights no good and bunkers to dodge (trust me it wont be long before I am telling you how Daz put us in one :angry: ) we made our way back, ended up with 28 rabbits and 2 foxes lost the odd rabbit and lost about 3 good hours off lamping and waiting on dog walkers but another good night had none the same. :good:
