Boromir
During summer months one of my Labs goes bald around the eyes, but seems to be alright during the winter. He hasnt been out in the midges yet and dont think he has been into much nettles. Just wondering if hay fever could be a problem, or something else i cant think of. thanks

But this could something else. Possibly mites or even grass seed which hes scratching at. You can give them a piriton in the morning before you go out, see if that works for a weekend, if not best to go the vet preferably when at the height of baldness! it defo sounds like some sort of irritant though which is quite easy to prevent, probs give you some eye drops to give during the summer months. Make sure you keep on top of worming and fleaing and they should be fit as a fiddle
