stingray k

i have got a stingray k, with the screw on muzzle break, is the thing it screws onto a factory fitted silencer? some people say it is and some say its not, am confused

one other thing, i have a scope fitted, but i have left the front sight blade on and removed the back one, the reason i have left the front one on is because when i remove it, it leaves a hole where the screw was.

would this make any difference to the sound or acurracy of my riffle if i left the front blade off with the screw out? do you get me?

I cannot be certain but if the muzzle break screws onto a thread then it is most likely to be the barrel and not the silencer. I have just looked at a picture of the gun in a comic and it looks though the silencer screws onto the barrel.

The open sight screws onto the silencer, so if the muzzle break goes infront of that then it screws onto the silencer.

Hope that is not confusing!!

As for the hole being left in the silencer after the sight has been removed then just place a (cut down if needed) screw in the hole after taking the silencer off. This would stop any nastiness going on.

i think ive got it :D:D:D

so are we saying its not a silencer because the muzzle unscrews off it? i think am with you! am i??

I have just lost myself here :D

Have a look at the picture in the adverts in the front of the comics.

If your "muzzle break" screws onto what is on the front of the gun that is in the picture then you are screwing it onto a silencer.

If not then it is the barrel.

Are togther on this now?!?!?!? If not then we have just confused the hell out of each other again!! :D

why not post a pic on here so we can see what your taling about LOL

i had a stingray XS with no open sites and a bbmf silncer factory fitted.

but if memory serves me right the other version of the sting ray had a sort of ported fore end about 2-3" long that could be unscrewed and a standard 1/2unf silncer could be fitted.

thats better can see what m talking about now :D

yep thats a standard stingray, thread protector/muzzel break, just makes the rifle look nice and alows you to be able to fit a standard 1/2" UNF silencer.

the reason people might be confused is there are to my knoledge at least 2 and possible 3 different versions. Your is definatly a standard part fitted :D

i doubt very much if it will make any idfference to the power/accuracy/noise of the rifle if you remove the fore site from the rifle

yes mate, its just when i remove the screw that hold the front sight on it leaves a hole, and i was thinking the rifle was sounding abit loader but it must just be me!?

could you recommend a

1/2" UNF silencer for it? when i do get around to buying one a want the best the my rifle will take.....

sound biter (splet wrong?)

or logun

if you go for the logun, strip out the **** they put in and replace it with J cloth

ROB :D

ps personaly i would prefer to spend £60 and have the rifle profesionally tuned, makes a lot more difference to the noise and feel of the rifle than £50 ona silencer
